The radiation from the bactericidal lamp kills (inactivates) viruses, bacteria, mold, fungi, yeast, spores, allergens, and other microorganisms, including all types of flu viruses (types A, B, C), viruses causing acute respiratory diseases and acute respiratory viral infections, coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) causing COVID-19, and the Omicron coronavirus strain. The absorbed dose of ultraviolet radiation by DNA and RNA molecules leads to the death of the microbe.
