The radiation from the germicidal lamp kills (inactivates) viruses, bacteria, mold, fungi, yeast, spores, allergens, and other microorganisms, including influenza viruses of all types (A, B, C), viruses causing ARD and ARVI, coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) causing COVID-19, and the Omicron strain of the coronavirus. The absorbed dose of ultraviolet radiation by DNA and RNA molecules leads to the death of the microbe.
